IMPERIAL HOTEL’S REGAL REVAMP RADIATES ROYAL RELAXATION

The Imperial Hotel Boutique Accommodation in Eumundi on the Sunshine Coast has recently launched its highly anticipated Wellness facilities, setting a new standard for luxury and relaxation in the region.

The historic Imperial Hotel, a classic two-storey Queenslander with a modern twist, has seen its accommodation rebranded, and is currently being refurbished as part of the Comiskey Group’s broader initiative to revitalise both the pub and its associated offerings.

The 113-year-old pub, along with its accommodation, wellness facilities and more sit on a generous 5,581 square meters and, with its lush green backdrop, these new state-of-the-art amenities offer a serene retreat for guests.

Among the standout features of the Wellness facilities are a heated mineral pool and a hot spa complete with soothing jacuzzi jets. Features also include a BBQ area with a fire pit, along with comfortable day beds and sun lounges.

Guests are encouraged to unwind by the fire or indulge in a relaxing soak after a day of exploring the nearby Eumundi Markets, Australia’s largest open-air retail precinct.

These enhancements come just months after the Imperial Hotel and its accommodation arm, formerly known as HOLA (House Of Local Art), was acquired by the family-owned Comiskey Group.

Known for its impressive portfolio of large-format Queensland pubs, including the popular BIG4 Sandstone Point Holiday Resort and the iconic Eatons Hill Hotel, the Comiskey Group’s latest venture reflects its commitment to elevating the guest experience.

In addition to the new facilities, the Imperial Hotel is undergoing extensive renovations.

Stage one will introduce a brand-new front bar, gaming room, and TAB, while stage two plans to unveil the Sunshine Coast’s largest kids’ games room, a new restaurant, and an updated menu.

The Imperial will also retain its iconic façade and continue to offer a drive-through, two satellite bottleshops, and an onsite distillery, operated by Lion.

Rob Comiskey, director of Comiskey Group, expressed his excitement about the project.

“As the proud new owners of The Imperial Hotel and Boutique Accommodation, it is our duty and passion to deliver an exceptional experience for our visitors.

“We hope the new Wellness Facilities instil confidence in our commitment to excellence. We are dedicated to investing in this unique part of the Sunshine Coast, ensuring world-class standards for locals and tourists to enjoy for decades to come.”

The Imperial Hotel, now a symbol of cultural charm and modern luxury, features 15 chic contemporary rooms decorated with local art, seamlessly integrating the new Wellness facilities with its existing amenities.

As the Comiskey Group continues to invest in and expand its venues, the family plans to bring more events and entertainment to the Imperial, showcasing both local and international talent.

“The Imperial Hotel is my local, and I have always loved it,” says Comiskey.
