Australian Venue Co is bringing back its successful Winter Igloos at select locations on the east coast, offering couples and small groups an attractive escape from the cold.
The âWinter Igloo Gardensâ at AVC pubs are a series of translucent domes. Adorned with twinkling fairy lights they are a winter wonderland escape, fitted with warm furnishings and gear.
They are available for gatherings of up to eight people, depending on the pods at the venue, making them ideal for romantic private dining experiences or small groups.
Different food and beverage packages are available, such as sharing platters and multi-course share-style menus, and a winter high tea.
Igloos can be booked for 2-2.5 hours (depending on venue), priced at $52-$75 per person.
Some of the venues offer specific upgrades on dessert packages or drinks.
Guests can order food and beverages without leaving their cosy retreat, using the Australian Venue Co app, with Mr Yum.
After the success of the winter installations in 2019, the installations are now in Melbourne venues the Station Hotel in Footscray, the Auburn Hotel in Hawthorn, Studley Park Boathouse in Kew, and the Wharf Hotel in the CBD, on the banks of the Yarra.
And to the north, the Mihi Tavern in Brassall, south-west of Brisbane, will also have the cold weather havens.
âWinter igloo gardens are the perfect way to spend the colder season,â says an AVC spokesperson.
