HOTEL PANORAMA HITS MAJOR MILESTONE IN $60m DEVELOPMENT

Hurley Hotel Group’s Hotel Panorama reached a significant milestone in its development last week when the structural build of the highest point of the hotel was completed.

The development of the former TAFE site is currently the group’s largest investment, at $60 million, and promises something different for Adelaide’s south.

The five-storey structure (including basement) will boast a café, bar and restaurant, along with a gaming room and sports bar on the ground floor, with its beer garden and outdoor area featuring a three-metre outdoor screen.

Seventy-seven accommodation rooms, including 26 serviced apartments and a honeymoon suite, will occupy three levels, accommodating guests visiting nearby health, leisure and education centres.

The top floor, with views of the city, ocean and Adelaide Hills, will host two function rooms alongside a rooftop bar.

Scott Oakley, Hotel Panorama’s General Manager, said the group is thrilled to be at this stage of the project.

“We are proud to announce our new rooftop bar for the southern suburbs of Adelaide, which will be named Wonderland – it will be an exciting space and something that has not been done before in this area,” he said.

The site also hosts Panorama Hurley Cellars, open to the public since March last year.

The Cellars boast a three-lane drive through, a temperature controlled walk-in cool room, a premium wine room and a tasting table for its tastings and curated masterclasses.

The tastings and masterclasses are focussed on South Australian wines as part of its dedication to support local producers.

Construction is headed by local family-owned company Sarah Constructions, which has previously completed d’Arenberg’s The Cube and the Hurley’s Marion Hotel, while the design is led by local firm Cox Architecture.

“The project still has just under a year to go and at that stage we’ll be looking to employ somewhere between 150 to 200 new staff members, which will add to the over 650 staff that the Hurley Hotel Group currently employs, which is super exciting as we continue to grow,” said Oakley.
