The Hurley Group’s riverside Pretoria Hotel has reopened today after months of work to restore the property following the Christmas floods.
Heavy rains brought floodwaters to the town of Mannum in late December last year, forcing the evacuation of residents.
Completing work to repair or replace damaged areas of the pub, The Pretoria returns today (6 March), welcoming patrons back to the bar, bottleshop and gaming room.
Foodservice will resume tomorrow, and the accommodation re-opens Thursday (9 March).
Marking the end of a stressful period, which included keeping loyal followers updated on social media, Pretoria manager Brad Harper says the wait is ‘finally over’ and they are very happy to be back up and running.
“We’re so excited to welcome back our incredible staff to be able to continue our mission to foster community spirit by being a hotel where locals and visitors come together.
“The past few months have been extremely testing for the entire Murrayland, but one thing has remained constant – our wonderful community’s unwavering support.
