FEROS WINS GREEN LIGHT FOR BINGARA ACCOMMODATION

Development approval has been granted to south-west Sydney’s Bingara Gorge Country Club for an accommodation precinct.

An extension of the Club, the approximately 2,500sqm site that adjoins the Club in Bingara Gorge, Wilton, was purchased by Feros Group, who will develop and operate both the pub and hotel.

Bingara Gorge is a 450-Ha masterplanned site that once complete will comprise around 1,800 homes, over 200 hectares of open space, a championship golf course and a range of modern recreational, retail and education facilities.

The $50 million state-of-the-art build will boast 49 rooms in a range of sizes, as well as retail space, health and beauty services and a private gymnasium and pool.

Feros Group began work on the site last February, with the first stage due to open in early 2026.

Following the opening of the family-friendly bistro and bar, dedicated sports bar, beer garden and spacious outdoor kids’ play area, the second stage, due in early 2027, will comprise accommodation as well as premium conferencing and wedding facilities.

Group chief executive Chris Feros said the hotel will complement the Club.

“This project is about creating a destination for the community and broader region.

“Whether it is hosting wedding guests, golfers, event attendees or visitors simply looking to explore Wilton and its surrounds, the hotel will fill a critical gap in the market.”

As new roads, schools, shopping precincts and the highly anticipated Western Sydney International Airport roll out, the approval of this project is a vital step in the masterplan, with accommodation in the area currently limited.

Ben Taylor, Wollondilly Shire Council CEO, said the accommodation would support the area’s visitor economy as well as provide locals with a new social hub.

“The Country Club and accommodation will not only give residents a wonderful new place to socialise and host family and friends but also provide a boost for tourism and jobs in the region.

“As our community grows, these types of facilities are important to complement all the wonderful attractions, unique businesses and exciting events happening across our beautiful shire.”
