FEROS GOLF DAY RAISES $90K FOR LOCAL COMMUNITY

Chris Feros’ Hotel Group has raised a generous $90k at its latest annual Charity Golf Day, held on 20 February this year at Barden Ridge Golf Course.

Now in its thirteenth year, the Group’s inter-pub golf competition evolved from a friendly social challenge to a major annual fundraiser and has now raised over $200,000 for charities to date.

Through sponsorships, on-course fundraising activities and team entries, this year’s day of competition and community support raised the highest amount in the event’s history.

The event’s proceeds were donated to The Family Co., while the winning pub of the day was the team from the Prince Hotel Kirrawee, in south Sydney.

The Family Co. supports children, youth, women and families to have safe homes, strong connections and opportunities to thrive.

They provide holistic support including parenting education, family case management, youth services, domestic and family violence support, counselling, and community education.

The Family Co.’s head of partnerships, marketing and fundraising, Michelle Long, said they were incredibly grateful to the Feros Group and everyone who participated and supported the day.

“The generosity shown by their teams, sponsors and supporters is a powerful reminder of what community can achieve when it rallies around a shared purpose,” Long said.

“The $90,000 raised will go directly towards supporting women, children and families in our local community – and for that, we are truly thankful.”

The Feros Group thanks all participants, volunteers, supporters and sponsors who came together to make the day a success.
