Lewis Land Group’s Camden Valley Inn is helping families with sick children, last week donating $20k to local children’s health charity Kids of Macarthur.
Registered children’s charity Kids of Macarthur Health Foundation serves the Macarthur region, encompassing the LGAs of Camden, Campbelltown and Wollondilly.
Funds it raises go toward purchasing paediatric medical equipment for Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals and community health centres across the region – but it receives no government funding, relying entirely on the local community for support.
The Foundation is the only sponsor of Campbelltown Hospital’s Paediatric Loan Pool, where equipment is purchased and loaned to families with a child rehabilitating or requiring therapy – often eliminating the need for families to have to travel. Once outgrown or no longer required, equipment is returned, serviced, then loaned to the next family.
This equipment would not be available to Macarthur families if not purchased by the Foundation, which is aiming to fund the latest round of new equipment. The Camden Valley Inn donation will help the Foundation meet its current goals.
Kayla Seeney, general manager of the south-western Sydney pub, is leading the Inn’s community focus being implemented this year.
