BRISBANE GAMING EXPO WRAPS COVID COMEBACK

The MAX Australasian Hospitality & Gaming (AHG) Expo made a triumphant return for 2022 last week, attracting near-record crowds to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre to see the latest best in hospitality.

Ending a challenging three-year COVID-related hiatus, almost 140 exhibitors set up wares on the AHG Expo floor for the two-day event, including 16 new companies.

“It’s been so great to have everyone back together in Brisbane for the first time in three years,” offered Amy Coady, AHG Expo Event Manager.

“We’ve had loads of positive feedback from visitors who’ve been able to catch up with their various sales reps and network among industry friends for the first time in years.”

Exhibitor categories spanned all facets of hospitality, finding accounting and auditing, beverage suppliers, entertainment, furniture, kitchen- and play equipment, and the big gaming companies.

Returning for 2022 was the popular TAB AHG Breakfast, this year featuring keynote speaker NRL legend Cameron Smith, the AHG Cocktail Party, and the National Governance and Management Congress.

Reporting the Expo fulfilled its role and lived up to expectations, Coady, who completes her sixth AHG Expo and twelfth comparable event, will be stepping down from the role.

“We are so glad to be helping all those hospitality venues around the country to find new innovations for their premises, to hopefully assist them back to full trade after the last few trying years.

“And we were also really glad to be able to help our exhibitors showcase their latest and greatest products and services to an eager crowd.”
