One of the Comiskey Group’s hotels has struck the title of the “luckiest pub in Queensland” after giving away yet another $2m+ Keno prize and a gaming jackpot the same day.
Friday the 18th (November) proved lucky for some, as a patron of the Beachmere Hotel scored a cool $2.09 million Keno jackpot.
This is the second Keno cash prize for the pub in just four years, adding to the several $250k-plus wins in the last three years, and multiple wins of tens-of-thousands in the last 12 months.
On the same day, a gaming punter won nearly $11,000, becoming the eighth $10k-plus beneficiary in the past two years.
“What a great story and what a great place to play Keno,” offered Keno spokesperson David Dicker of the latest $2m win.
Noting the wisdom of responsible gambling, Comiskey Group director Robert Comiskey pondered “if you were feeling lucky … it would make a lot of sense to try” a spot of Keno at the Beachmere.
Just two blocks from the beach, the Beachmere Hotel is around 20 kilometres south-west of the Group’s enormous Sandstone Point Hotel, and an hour’s drive north of Brisbane.
The Comiskeys report that this Saturday (3 November) the Beachmere will be holding a ‘Jackpot Winner Celebration Party – with “plenty of activities, and of course, a celebratory cake”.
