The family-owned Comiskey Group has secured a land tender from Queensland’s City of Moreton Bay, proposing a $180 million Town Centre precinct in North Lakes.
The 1.72-Ha site will be a selection of hospitality, lifestyle and leisure facilities, centring around a 2,500sqm Comiskey Group hospitality venue and a 130-room 5-star boutique hotel. It will also feature a large green walkable public space.
Scheduled to begin in 2026, the project is expected to generate more than 880 jobs over its first five years, while injecting an estimated $538 million into the local economy.

It is also expected to meet local needs by creating a cultural hub. Mayor Peter Flannery said the project expertly captured City of Moreton Bay Council’s ambition for the area.
“We put the call out last August for an iconic proposal that would elevate City of Moreton Bay on the tourism map, and Comiskey Group’s vision ticks every box, with world‑class design by Bureau Proberts, genuine community benefit, and serious economic horsepower for our City,” Flannery says.

Rob Comiskey, director of Comiskey Group, says the plans are set to redefine what will be possible for the North Lakes area, which is home to over twenty-four thousand residents.
“My family are proud to invest in a project of this scale – one that will create jobs, energise the economy and, most importantly, give the North Lakes community a destination they can call their own,” he said.
“This is about more than buildings – it’s about creating vibrancy, culture and a sense of place that is truly world-class”.
North Lakes comes hot on the heels of Group’s latest multi-million dollar transformation, the $250 million expansion of its already enormous Sandstone Point.
