Australian Venue Co is recruiting a small army of pub-goers to join their Secret Sipper Club, tasked with visiting venues across the country and getting paid to mystery shop.
The Secret Sipper mission is simple: visit assigned AVC pubs and bars approximately once per month throughout the year, remain discreet and impartial, and complete an audit report.
Sippers will be armed with a $30 meal credit, and get paid $200 for completing a review of their experience.
It is said that candidates will need to have excellent skills in communication and memorisation, be detail orientated, and possess the ability to masquerade as a regular customer.
AVC is seeking 100 Secret Sippers, across all (18+) age demographics, to review its variety of 200+ venues, counting family-friendly pubs, rooftop bars and late-night clubs.
They will work across the country at AVC operations, famously including Hotel Esplanade (Melbourne), The Winery (Sydney), Regatta Hotel (Brisbane), Burleigh Town Hotel (Gold Coast), Brighton Metro Hotel (Adelaide) and Claremont Hotel (Perth).
The group champions that quality and service are “everything” and want the Secret Sipper team to ensure valuable feedback on both the bad and the good, which informs new insights and potential improvements.
AVC has posted application forms online.
Separately, the group continues its charitable work with SecondBite, raising over $12k across the Easter long weekend by donating $1 from every Parma sold in its pubs across the country.
This was over and above the year-round option AVC customers already have, where they can add a $1 donation when they order via Mr Yum, which the pub group will match – dollar for dollar.
SecondBite is a national food rescue organisation that is able to provide up to five meals for hungry people from every dollar donated, meaning AVC’s Chicken Parmas over Easter helped supply up to 63,215 meals to those in need.
