Drinks giant Lion is ready to do business 24/7 with a new online information and ordering portal for its trade customers.
Originally launched in 2012, the new-look version now includes product and events data and sales practise, and active customer feedback to further streamline services.
The free service facilitates ordering directly from Lion’s product catalogue, through a section dedicated to “deals” currently available, or from a user’s order history. Customers can also check on stock availability.
“Our updated customer portal is the next exciting step on our ongoing journey to make it even easier for all our customers and industry partners to do business with Lion,” says Lion sales strategy & services director, Tim Gilberd.
“We are excited that this portal will provide our customers with more information and functionality than ever before.”
The previous online portal has grown consistently in take-up and functionality, and currently manages 16 per cent of Lion’s beer orders and 30 per cent of its enquiries. The new system is expected to greatly increase this, particularly given its product insights and information on local, regional and national activity that could impact foot traffic and sales.
Lion also continues to invest in “lower-than-full-strength” categories, as seen in its recent release of XXXX Gold Pale Ale – Australia’s first mid-strength craft-style beer.
