AHA PLUGS PUBS IN BIG NSW AD CAMPAIGN

The AHA NSW has launched a widespread campaign to remind people of the community depth and significance of the Aussie pub.

Wobbly Boot Hotel_LR_crpLaunched last night, four 30-second TVCs began on State-wide television, followed up this morning by pre-recorded ads and live reads on 2GB (Alan Jones, Ray Hadley and Ben Fordham).

Beginning today, 15-second “region-specific” radio advertisements will play around the State and commercials will run before online videos through the Sydney Morning Herald and Daily Telegraph websites.

Also, the consumer-facing www.whatsyourlocal.com.au website has been launched, featuring search and mapping facilities for all NSW hotel members, and encouragements for patrons to upload their hotel happy-snaps, which will be shown in the website’s gallery.

IMGP3715Grade_LR_25w“This campaign focuses on the hard work and generosity of hoteliers from across NSW and also how important hotels are to the social fabric,” said AHA NSW President, Scott Leach.

“The ‘local’ is such an integral part of communities big and small – in good times and bad – and that is what this campaign is all about; what real people like about their local hotel.”

Billed as “a celebration of hotels” the aim is to reconnect the public with the ongoing work of the industry, particularly as seen in vital employment opportunities and community support.

“NSW hoteliers are rightfully proud of the fact they employ 70,000 people and support 19,000 sporting teams and community groups each year,” AHA NSW CEO John Whelan told PubTIC.
