AGE 2017 TO SEE MORE NEW

The Australasian Gaming Expo is about to return, for another bigger-than-ever year and to its home in Darling Harbour.

Taking place in Sydney each August, the AGE (Australasian Gaming Expo) is by far the largest gaming event in the Southern Hemisphere, and third-largest in the world. Set to take up 19,000 m² of the amazing new International Convention Centre (ICC Sydney) in Darling Harbour, it is also one of the largest trade events in Australia.

Although dominated by new gaming offerings, 2017 will see over 250 exhibitors, including over 50 first-timers, bringing hospitality business in the form of: Audio Visual equipment, ATM Equipment, Building Services, Cash Handling & Equipment, Consultancy Services, Entertainment, Financial Services, Food and Beverage, Furniture, I.T., Interior Design & Fitout, Marketing Services, Membership Management, Paging & Communication, Point of Sale Systems, Retail, Security, Signage & Displays, and Staff Uniforms.

The event has been running since 1990, and is owned and operated by the Gaming Technologies Association (GTA). The Association’s primary members are: Ainsworth, Aristocrat, Aruze, Ebet, IGT, Interblock, Konami and Scientific Games.

These class-leading companies will bring in more than 800 poker machines, showcasing the latest technologies and designs in a complex and competitive market.

Visitors can choose to receive “digital show-bag” information from any exhibitors they like, simply by tapping their entry badge at the exhibitor’s stand.

The AGE app can be downloaded from Google Play or iTunes, providing guests all information and floor plans, and updates on event happenings during their visit. This year the AGE Daily newspaper will be available free to registered visitors, covering event and industry news.

2017 will also see complimentary seminars begin, offering visitors on the first two days the chance to hear discussions with key-note speakers from the gaming industry.

And as always, each day a trip for two people will be given away to the Global Gaming Expo, in Las Vegas, including airfares from Sydney and five nights at a Vegas resort casino.

2016 saw nearly 7,000 hospitality professionals attend the final instalment at the temporary Glebe Island facility, coming from every Australian State and Territory, joining many overseas guests, from New Zealand, Asia-Pacific, the USA and Europe.

Post-event surveys of visitors always record a high satisfaction with the highly polished event, known as the place to see new products and technology. Many manufacturers gear their new release cycle around the AGE, to optimise exposure to the industry.

The AGE is free for hospitality industry professionals.

Registration – including to the seminars – can be done online, or by calling the helpline on +61 2 9211 7430.
